My goal is to connect with people first – the techniques then come from there and it’s about what fits best for what is needed. I use a number of the focussed psychological strategies (FPS) as they are evidence based and really useful for allowing people to learn techniques and about themselves which offer them a chance to feel better and more connected to those around them.

So I utilise CBT for panic attacks, Mindfulness techniques for stress and anxiety and a range of psychoeducation and skills training. I like utilising aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and really like ACT – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

First and foremost, I like getting to know people and consider it crucial that we work out what might suit them rather than what techniques I enjoy.

I’m more than happy to offer you a free 15 minute phone conversation, so we can connect and find out a little more about each other. We can then decide what’s the best way forward – whether it’s meeting in person, arranging a Walk & Talk or booking an online/phone meeting.
